PULPEN (Catholic Education Service Center) is a body of the Diocese of Surabaya that accompanies foundations, schools, and parishes so Catholic education stays character-driven, sustainable, and missionary.

The peace of Christ be with us all,
Dear Fathers, Brothers, Sisters, and all the faithful in Christ,
Catholic education is part of the Missio Ecclesiae. In the Diocese of Surabaya this work is carried not only by priests but also by religious and lay people. Even so, synodality in education is not yet fully realized. Parishes and education institutions still need deeper synergy.
That is why the Diocese of Surabaya, through the Pastoral Assembly on Education, invites us to live the Missio Ecclesiae in one shared movement. The hope is that the Church of Surabaya, in the spirit of Ardas, walks together toward a transformation of Catholic education that is character-driven, sustainable, and missionary.
With the Catholic Education Service Center (PULPEN), that direction of mission can take concrete form, grounded in the Diocesan Pastoral Direction — the Church as a communion of disciples of Christ who grow mature in faith, community, service, and missionary zeal.
